Hundreds of years before the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, a prophet of God called Isaiah said, “Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.” (Isaiah 9:6). The prophet Isaiah said this about the Greatest Gift the world has ever received—our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our Lord Jesus Christ had twelve disciples who used to follow Him everywhere and learn from Him. They used to ask Him many questions, and He would answer them all for them. He taught them about faith, prayer, fasting, God’s commandments, love and all that they needed to know so that they could also go and pass on His teaching to others.

Once upon a time, He washed the disciples’ feet, and said to them, “I have given you an example so that you should do as I have done to you.” (John 13:15). He taught them by example to humble themselves and serve each other. He said, “This is my commandment to you, love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12).

God is the Creator of everything in the universe. There is nothing that was not created by Him. He created the heavens and the earth, angels and mankind, animals and plants… in six days. The first day of creation is Sunday. On the first day, He created the heavens and the earth. On this day also He created light so that we may see. Including Sunday, in six days, God created water so that we may drink and not be thirsty; He created the sun so that it would shine for us during the day and give heat; He created plants that we may eat from their fruit; He created fish in the sea, animals on land, and birds that fly so that we may see the wonders of God and His rule over all creation on earth. Finally, on the Sixth day, on a Friday, He created man in His own image, and He said, “Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” (Genesis 1:26).
